In the data reported to the COVID-19- Registry RLP since April 2020, it can be observed that, in addition to the large number of SARS-CoV-2 patients receiving intensive care, on average about four times as many patients had to be treated in the normal wards of hospitals in Rhineland-Palatinate.
The survey of staff workload, both site-specific and on a daily basis, documents that the additional care provided to COVID-19 patients has a direct impact on the operability of all hospitals in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
